I am here to make you think, think about your relationship to food, your relationships to the local community, and to the ecosystem around you and inside you.  I am here to support you in the process of breaking up with fast food culture.

 

What is a Guided Nutrition Challenge? 


Think of it as a course that is designed to help you end unhealthy cravings and habits, heal your digestive tract, strengthen your immune system and empower you to permanently change your lifestyle.

This course will challenge the way you think about food, it will change your tastes, it will alter your habits and your cravings. It could, quite possibly, change the emotional relationship you have with food, and with your body. It has the potential to impact the way you eat for the rest of your life.

What can you expect before, during and after the 28 days? 

​

Start November off in a way that will nourish your mind, body and soul.  Put away the bathroom scale.  When focus is directed to irrelevant numbers on a dial, we miss out on the most dramatic and lifelong benefits the 28 Day Guided Nutrition Challenge has to offer.

 

Grocery shopping, meal planning, dining out, explaining the program to friends and family, and dealing with time management decisions will all prove challenging at some point during the month of  November. You'll be given you all the guidelines and resources you’ll need, so you can take responsibility for creating your own lifestyle with these tools.

 

When we eat well, sleep well, get outside and get moving, and we fill our minds with positive thoughts, we show ourselves the love we so deserve. November means reconnecting with healthier habits, creating warm n' cozy nutrient dense meals, and feeling invigorated both inside and out.  Prepare for the GNC by cleaning out your pantry, grocery shopping, and doing some basic planning for the upcoming month.  When the 28 Day Guided Nutrition Challenge starts you will be ready for 4 weeks of meal plans filled with incredible recipes, shopping lists and prep guides - that will save you time, money and inspire you to change your relationship with food one meal at a time.

Planning and preparation are key.  You may need just a day or two to prepare, or you may need a week to get your house (and your head) around the reset you’re about to begin. There is no one perfect timeline—you’ll have to decide what works best for you.  So, as soon as your payment is received for the GNC, you will immediately be sent the Pantry Make Over Guide and the 28 Day GNC Calendar, the Lifestyle Design Survey, as well as the Growing Great Gut Gardens e-booklet.

By comparing your personal calendar and obligations for the month of November to the GNC Calendar, you will be able to anticipate and plan for obstacles that might pose difficulties.  The 28 Day GNC Calendar will help you identify where stressful, difficult, or complicated situations might pop up (things like business lunches, family dinners, school activities, travel plans, a long day at work, parties, celebrations). Having a plan to navigate these situations means you’re far more likely to stick to your commitment.

Have you defined your values and goals?  The 13 page Lifestyle Design Survey is a series of questions to prompt your thought process and to have you begin to consider what your best lifestyle looks like - at this stage of your life.  Without your own clear vision, other people’s views and circumstances will determine the course of direction.  In this survey, which takes about 60 minutes, you will be provoked to ponder:

  • Your current habits vs your ideal habits concerning time, money and energy

​

  • Your current relationship with cooking: eating style, food preparation, cultural influences

​

  • Your sleeping patterns and coping mechanisms for stress

​

  • Your activity levels and how you connect with nature

Nothing evolves or survives on its own. All life co-evolves through relationships and networks.  For many of you, the 28 Day Guided Nutrition Challenge will be more than a reset; it will be a lifestyle change—and that kind of change is tough if you’re going it alone. Building a support network will keep you motivated, inspired, and accountable during and after the month of November is an important element.   Change always feels vulnerable so here is how you will be supported to get - and stay connected:

 

  • There will be daily emails (day zero to day 29).

  • Every email will be filled with guidance (especially in the first week);

​

  • Resources to make shopping, prepping, cooking, getting active outdoors, sleeping, and managing your stress that much easier during your reset month; and, 

​

  • These emails will give you the introspective assignments designed to keep you focused and aware during every week of the challenge.

​

  • There will also be a weekly wrap up meeting with A's to your Q's as well as guided discussions - in real time!

  • Interact with others on the Private Facebook Forum Page.  You will find it to be very friendly, incredibly collaborative, and wildly supportive.  This space will allow you to share your day-to-day experience with our private group.  Feel free to post pictures and relevant articles, ask questions, or connect with our fantastic group members during (and after) your 28 Day Guided Nutrition Challenge.  What we can do as part of a network, as part of a collective, is far more impactful than what we can do all by ourselves.
